HYDRONIC TEST AND BALANCE

Hydronics is defined as the science of heating and cooling liquids.  The hydronic system, no matter what its purpose, consists of the heat generator and absorber at one end the heat absorber or generator at the other.  There is piping in between to carry the heat transfer fluid: water, steam, or refrigerant.  At some point in the piping, there is a "pressure generator" which overcomes the system resistance to fluid flow, in the case of water this is the pump.
